The Winterfield Studios™ Story
Winterfield Studios was created from a love of creativity, storytelling, personal wellness, and the little details that make everyday life feel memorable. Before the shop ever existed, I spent years painting, creating handmade greeting cards, and finding every possible excuse to make something beautiful for the people around me. At one point, I was creating more than 500 handmade Christmas cards every single year for family, friends, and colleagues because I genuinely loved the process of making people feel special through creativity. Over time, that creative passion naturally evolved into designing stickers, printables, and stationery that help people capture memories, tell stories, celebrate everyday happy moments, and bring more creativity into their daily lives.
What began as a creative outlet slowly turned into a thoughtfully curated stationery brand centred around helping people illustrate life’s adventures through planning, journaling, memory keeping, scrapbooking, and paper crafting. From layered scene sticker kits and journaling printables to notebooks, notepads, vinyl and paper die cuts, and decorative stationery, every collection is designed to feel artistic, expressive, immersive, and genuinely inspiring to use.
At the heart of Winterfield Studios is the belief that creativity should be part of everyday life. Not just for special occasions. Not just for artists. Not just when everything feels perfectly together. Creativity can live in the middle of busy schedules, quiet mornings, weekend journaling sessions, travel memories, fresh starts, messy desks, half-finished planners, and the small moments we want to hold onto a little longer.
Meet the Shop Owner
Hi, I’m Lana, the creative designer behind Winterfield Studios.
My background originally began in graphic design before evolving into a career spanning more than two decades in marketing and communications. Over the years, I fell even more deeply in love with visual storytelling, branding, writing, crafting, and the emotional connection thoughtful design can create. Winterfield Studios became the place where all of those worlds naturally came together.
Every collection begins with a feeling, a story, a colour palette, or a moment I want to capture visually. Sometimes it’s inspired by travel, nature, architecture, seasonal shifts, quiet rituals, meaningful memories, or simply the atmosphere of a beautiful everyday moment. I love creating products that feel immersive and layered, almost like tiny creative worlds brought to life on paper.
My creative process has evolved over the years, as technology has changed. Everything used to be on paper or canvas, and now we have access to many exciting digital tools! Two of my favourites are Procreate and Illustrator. Today, I combine my background in graphic design and traditional artistic techniques, like painting and drawing, with a variety of modern creative tools. Depending on the collection, that may also include original design work, collaborations, photography, digital illustration, and AI-assisted artwork. Every collection is thoughtfully developed, refined, and brought together to create a cohesive creative experience.
What Makes Winterfield Studios Different
I’ve never wanted Winterfield Studios to feel like a typical stationery shop. I love pushing creative boundaries, trying new things, and designing collections that feel different, inventive, and inspiring to create with. Whether it’s layered scrapbook-inspired scenes, unexpected themes, new product concepts, or artistic storytelling through paper, creativity and innovation have always been at the centre of this brand.
But beyond the designs themselves, this shop has always been about something deeper for me.
It’s about creativity as self-expression. It’s about documenting life as it’s happening. It’s about slowing down long enough to notice the little things. It’s about illustrating life’s adventures in a way that feels personal, artistic, and meaningful.
I personally use creativity and journaling as part of my own daily life, whether I’m memory keeping, planning, reflecting, setting intentions, decorating pages, or simply creating quiet moments for myself in the middle of a busy day. That connection to creativity is something I genuinely hope you feel when you open your happy mail and begin creating with our products.
Behind the Scenes
Winterfield Studios is proudly a Canadian small business that started in 2018, with support behind the scenes from my husband Steve, who helps with operations, strategy, and making sure orders are produced, packaged, and sent out with care.
Over the years, this little creative corner of the internet has grown into an incredible community of planners, journalers, memory keepers, crafters, and creative souls who continue to inspire me every single day. Seeing how you use these products to tell your stories, preserve memories, and create beautiful pages of your own is honestly one of the most meaningful parts of this journey.
